For this assignment I chose to recreate the novel Northanger Abbey. The style I have created is a mixture of feminism and masculinity, with the use of fancy script typography as well as bold strong serif fonts. I wanted to create a style that was a mixture of old fashion and modern, especially for buyers these days to relate to the modern side while getting a taste of the old style as the book was written in 1803, this is why I have mixed script font and serif font together. I have created hierarchy with the chapter heading, as well as starting each chapter half way down the page. Colours I used for the cover show a range of pinks and white, this is because it is through the eyes of a female, the white of the serif font shows strength over the pink feminine style font. Gothic themes are also present throughout the story and colours of book covers in that era use this kind of style.
